WRONG PLACE HC
Expected Release: 1/21/2026
(W/A/CA) Brecht Evens A new edition of the debut classic by a visionary stylist offered in a deluxe format Rendered in vivid watercolor where parquet floors and patterned dresses morph together, The Wrong Place revolves around oft-absent Robbie, a charismatic lothario of mysterious celebrity who has the run of a city as chaotic as it is resplendent. Robbie's sexual energy captivates the attention of men and women alike; his literal and figurative brightness is a startling foil to the dreariness of his childhood friend, Francis. With a hand as sensitive as it is exuberant, the first graphic novel by award-winning cartoonist Brecht Evens (The City of Belgium, Panther) captures the strange chemistry of social interaction as easily as he portrays the fragmented nature of identity. The Wrong Place contrasts life as it is, angst-ridden and awkward, with life as it can be: spontaneous, uninhibited, and free.

ATLAS COMICS LIBRARY HC NO 8 SNAFU (MR)
Expected Release: 1/5/2026
(W) Stan Lee, John Severin, Bill Everett, Joe Maneely (A) John Severin, Bill Everett, Joe Maneely (CA) Joe Maneely When Harvey Kurtzman and Bill Gaines launched EC’s Mad comic book as a warmly received satirical magazine, a flood of imitators soon filled newsstands, but the first and best to follow in Mad’s footsteps (coinciding with the second issue of Mad magazine) was Snafu, edited and written by Kurtzman’s former boss: Stan “The Man” Lee! Snafu was packed with Marvel/Atlas’ top humor creators and, following the Mad playbook, filled pages with ad and news spoofs, alongside film, television, and book parodies like “The Blackboard Forest” by Russ Heath, “Pete Kelsey’s Booze” and “Bleed, You Bum!” by Joe Maneely, “Drugnet” by Howie Post, “Emily Toast’s Etiquette Page” by John Severin, and “Snafu’s Lovely Ladies” by Bill Everett, with production supervised by Marie Severin. Seen here is some of the most eye-popping work of Maneely’s short life, including great Hollywood caricatures done in a wash style. In this new volume in our Atlas Library collaboration with Marvel, Fantagraphics is tickled pink to present for the first time, the complete Snafu collection along with a history of Martin Goodman’s humor publications in all genres by editor Dr. Michael J. Vassallo.
CORTO MALTESE FABLE OF VENICE AND OTHER ADVENTURES TP (MR)
Expected Release: 1/14/2026
(W/A/CA) Hugo Pratt Artist Hugo Pratt’s most famous creation, the indefatigable sailor Corto Maltese, sails back to American readers after a far too-long absence in Corto Maltese: Fable of Venice and Other Adventures. Corto, a modern Ulysses whose wanderings in the early decades of the 20th century take him to the most fascinating places on Earth, is a hard-luck, hard-driving iconoclastic anti-hero who values freedom and independence more than wealth and status. In “Fable of Venice,” a riddle from a deceased friend plunges Corto into a phantasmagorical mystery thriller that zigzags between the solidity of dreams and the fluidity of reality. A frantic chase in 1921 Venice ensues, up twisting stairs and down tangled alleys, as Corto vies against Freemasons, occultists, budding fascists, and his friend (suddenly back from the dead) in a mad scramble to secure a mystical emerald that will open the doors of forbidden magic and unravel time and space itself! In addition, this collection of quintessential seafaring adventures also presents the Corto Maltese classics “The Secret of Tristan Bantam,” “So Much for Gentlemen of Fortune,” and “The Seagull's Fault,” making this book an exciting introduction to Pratt’s work.

LOCAS THE MAGGIE AND HOPEY STORIES HC (MR)
Expected Release: 1/21/2026
(W/A/CA) Jaime Hernandez Jaime Hernandez is one of the most humane, graceful, and imaginatively inexhaustible artists in American popular culture. Locas tells the story of Maggie Chascarrillo, a bisexual, Mexican-American woman attempting to define herself in a community rife with class, race, and gender issues. Maggie's story begins in the early-1980s Southern California rock scene, when it was shifting from the excesses of the 1970s to the gritty basics of punk and new wave. Hardcore punk rock came to the fore, and the teenage Maggie finds herself drawn to the anarchy, energy, and diversity of the scene, which in Jaime's hands becomes a very real, habitable place populated with authentic human beings rather than stereotypes. She quickly befriends Hopey Glass, a feisty anti-authoritarian punkette who quickly becomes Maggie's on-again, off-again lover and a constant presence in her life as they navigate a devastatingly naturalistic world. Created over 15 years from 1981-96 in the pages of the legendary comic book series Love and Rockets Vol. I #1–50, this new deluxe hardcover edition includes three stories that were not included in the previous edition.
MY GUN IS THE JURY AND OTHER STORIES HC (MR)
Expected Release: 1/7/2026
(W/A/CA) Jack Davis, Wallace Wood Jack Davis and Wallace Wood’s crazed cartooning in Mad changed the art form, and comedy itself, forever. But their gonzo parody work in Mad’s sister satire title, Panic, published at the same time, is less well-known. To invert that injustice, this volume of The Fantagraphics EC Artists’ Library presents all their zany, pun-packed Panic lampoonery, especially their pomposity-puncturing movie parodies, including Davis’s “My Gun Is the Jury!” “Come Back, Little Street Car!”, “A Star Is Corn” and Wood’s “African Scream!”, “Gone With The Widow,” and “20,000 Leaks Under The Sea.” These visual volleys are verbalized by Al Feldstein (editor of Panic, later editor of Mad) and Jack Mendelsohn (prolific cartoonist and writer whose non-comics credits include TV’s Laugh-In and The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine). But the laughs don’t languish. Also included is the never-before-reprinted “V-Vampires,” a riotous romp written by the legendary Harvey Kurtzman and drawn by Wood that vanished after its initial appearance more than 70 years ago!

TIODORAS LETTERSAN HC ENSLAVED WOMANS FIGHT FOR FAMILY AND FREEDOM (MR)
Expected Release: 1/28/2026
(W/A/CA) Marcelo D Salete In the mid-19th century, millions of Africans were enslaved and brought to Brazil. Among them was the real-life Teodora who, separated from her husband and her son, worked in the home of a priest in São Paulo. Wishing to reconstruct the family ties lost during the journey from Africa to Brazil and to achieve emancipation for herself and her family, she gave Claro, a Black man who could read and write, money to help her write letters: some addressed to her husband and her son, whereabouts unknown, in the hopes that the letters would find them and that they could achieve this quest together; and some addressed to enslavers, intended to either help locate her family or to persuade them to let her buy her freedom. Inspired by this correspondence, Tiodora’s Letters is a rigorously researched historical work, a compelling narrative based on her letters, and masterfully drawn by D’Salete, who graphically recreates her struggle. In the 1860s, Benê, a fictional Black young man who likes Tiodora because she was kind to him, takes it upon himself to seek Tiô’s family and deliver the letters. He embarks on a dangerous and world-building journey into the interior of Brazil and to the coffee plantations where they might be. There are many wordless passages of heartbreaking horror, character beats, breathtaking drawings of nature, and much more. In Tiodora’s Letters, D’Salete reconstructs a forgotten part of Brazil's dark history of slavery and pays tribute to the strength of a woman who fought for her rights single-handedly. Includes educational and contextual material.
WAR ON GAZA TP (MR)
Expected Release: 12/18/2025
(W/A/CA) Joe Sacco Joe Sacco is well known as a chronicler of Palestinian pain (Palestine, 1993; Footnotes on Gaza, 2010). He continues this self-created tradition in War on Gaza, a series of graphic commentaries on Israel's genocidal war on Gaza that has been going on non-stop for the last year. Originally published in installments on The Comics Journal’s website, War on Gaza is a series of comics continuities and single panels as morally devastating as the war itself. Employing his trademark combination of earnestness, compassion, satire, and dark humor, Sacco’s War on Gaza is a relentless critique of Israel’s warmongering and President Joe Biden’s complicity.
BREAKTHROUGH LIFE ON THE BRINK TP (MR)
Expected Release: 1/28/2026
(W/A/CA) Christopher Fink Chris Fink has just awoken in the desert. Soaked, disoriented, the first person he sees is his own fictional character. What is reality? What does an eco-feminist movement from the future — and a long-abandoned but never-forgotten indie comic, Leopold & Brink — have to do with his predicament? From this SF framework emerges a metafictional memoir, as epic and intimate as life itself. Embarking in earnest with the onset of the 2020 lockdowns, Fink’s years-long journey of graphic healing hit an unexpected detour when he received a brain cancer diagnosis midway through constructing this book. Not to be deterred, the tragedy and comedy of life become tools to break new liberative ground, a lifetime of drawing conjures fresh and playful visual expressions to compliment his stream of consciousness style. Vonnegut-esque slipstreams of memory weave together tumultuous youth, romantic misadventures, and the looping pathways of a working artist, in a tapestry of loss and longing. Buoyed by the ephemera of yesteryear, this is an ode to the comics, film, and TV that raised him, and the adults who didn’t. A saga of catharsis and reconciliation, Breakthrough: Life on the Brink is a story to live by.
OUR LITTLE WILD TIME TP (MR)

In this collection of short stories, portraits, and graphic biography and commentary, Fred Noland embarks on a tour through the unreal, hilarious, and often very real dimensions of the seedier side of human nature. In the lead story “Midnight Creep,” a supernatural southern gothic steeped in blues folklore, the devil is hot on a killer’s heels. Angel dust is in the air in the cyclical and comedic “Dusted.” Other attractions include an ode to the iconoclastic expressionist George Grosz, cholos playing putt putt, and more. Written with authenticity and dark humor, Noland’s comics ooze with a manic energy and an irreverence that are deceptively disturbing, revelatory, and unexpectedly funny. Includes a career spanning interview with the author by editor Gary Groth.

His commitment to justice and nonviolence brought him from an Alabama sharecropper's farm to the halls of Congress, from a segregated schoolroom to the 1963 March on Washington, and from receiving beatings from state troopers to receiving the Medal of Freedom from the first African-American president. To share his remarkable story with new generations, Lewis turned to the graphic novel format, in collaboration with co-writer Andrew Aydin and artist Nate Powell, and inspired by a 1950s comic book that helped prepare his own generation to join the struggle. The resulting trilogy, March, became a groundbreaking and definitive work of graphic memoir -- a perennial bestseller, a vital resource in classrooms across America, the recipient of countless honors, and the first comic to win the National Book Award. Today, March continues to animate the lessons of history with vivid life for new generations, powerfully and urgently relevant for our world. It is a vivid first-hand account of John Lewis' lifelong struggle for civil and human rights, meditating in the modern age on the distance traveled since the days of Jim Crow and segregation. Rooted in Lewis' personal story, it also reflects on the highs and lows of the broader Civil Rights Movement, with a particular focus on young adults. Through an unforgettable literary and artistic narrative, March portrays the surpassing courage, sacrifice, and revolutionary nonviolence that transformed American society in the 1960s, guided by principles and tactics that remain vitally relevant in the present day. This new single-volume edition features a detailed index.
