Starting up a new series of comic book screengrabs based on the Speed Racer: The Next Generation animated series. Speed Racer is revving up for the small screen once again. Lionsgate is producing 26 episodes and launched the new series on NickToons in May 2008. Geared toward a new generation of kids and action fans, The Next Generation builds on the legendary adventures of the original iconic series and focuses on Speed's orphaned son as he contends with the everyday hassles of school life at the famous Racing Academy and uncovers the secrets and dangers behind his famous father's disappearance.
