It is a time for rejoicing. The Matoran have rediscovered their original homeland, Metru Nui, and are preparing to return there for the first time in a thousand years. It is also a time for secrets to be revealed, as the six Turaga who rule the island of Mata Nui reveal that they too were once Toa, and guardians of Metru Nui. There they uncovered the treachery of Makuta, but were too late to stop him from plunging both the Matoran and the Great Spirit into unending sleep.
